The Sangha Pangolin Project is located on the banks of the Sangha River, Central African Republic (CAR). It is situated within a large area of lowland semi-evergreen forest that stretches across Cameroon and Congo-Brazzaville (the republic of Congo). There are three protected areas in this block: Dzanga-Sangha National Park (CAR), Lobeke National Park (Cameroon) and Nouble-Ndoki National Park (Congo-Brazzaville). Together they form one of the largest blocks of protected natural forest in the Congo basin.
